Want to learn to be a property developer, or find out what it takes to build your own home?

Whether you’re looking to build a dream home for yourself, or take your first tentative steps to learn to be a property developer, it can feel like there’s an awful lot to take on board about the process of building a house from scratch.
The whole thing can seem very daunting, but it doesn’t have to be that way.
We’ve teamed up with Developing Homes, who have created a comprehensive online course which will teach you everything you need to learn to be a property developer. The Property Developers Blueprint covers everything from finding your perfect plot and assessing it to make sure it meets your needs, to getting planning permission, funding your build (even if you don’t have the money yourself) and finding reliable, competent contractors and tradesmen. You’ll learn how to avoid the pitfalls other self-builders make, ways to fast-track the build process, and how to understand and manage your build costs.
What does the course cover?
The online course breaks the whole process down into eight manageable steps, and can be followed at your own pace, on any device, from anywhere in the world. There’s also a Facebook community, where you can pick the brains of other self-builders and developers, and get advice from tradesmen, mentors and professionals like ourselves.

The course has been put together by Andy Hubbard, who after many years in the industry as a highly successful contractor, builder and now developer, is keen to share his know-how and experience with aspirational individuals who want to expand their knowledge.
Here at Houseplansdirect, we speak to self-builders every day who are keen to take the first steps of their journey. While we strive to offer as much help and support as we can, there is no substitute for learning the ropes yourself and having the confidence to make your own decisions.
The course can be purchased as a whole or in two parts, and is offered at a substantial discount due to our exciting new partnership with Developing Homes.
