This trench foundation ground-bearing slab detail shows a rendered timber-frame external wall supported above an insulated concrete floor. The wall construction uses an insulated timber frame with a ventilated rendered external finish. The detail shows the foundation, floor slab, damp-proof membrane, insulation and perimeter thermal treatment. It also explains how the floor and wall airtightness layers connect. The drawing is suitable for Building Regulations packages, construction drawings and use by contractors on site.
